Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console

• The effective settings of installed Kaspersky applications and the time they were last modified are now displayed in the device properties. The time the latest update was delivered to the device is also displayed in the properties.
• Reports are combined into groups by subject now. This makes report search easier.
• The hierarchy of Administration Servers between Kaspersky Security Center installed in your network and Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console is now supported. You can connect the Administration Server running Kaspersky Security Center as a secondary server to the Administration Server running Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console (however, connection of the Administration Server running Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console as a secondary server to the Administration Server installed in your network is not available).
• Updated interface:
  • The list of plug-ins is displayed in the Console settings menu.
  • The flag-shaped icon informing the user of unread notifications has become more visible.
  • The interface elements that are unsupported by the current license are not displayed.

Management of KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0

Kaspersky Security Center now allows you to manage devices running KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0. The following functions are available:

• KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0 is displayed as the operating system in the device properties.
• You can manage devices running KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0 by using policies.
• Administration Server processes events from devices running KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0.
• Notifications of updates for KasperskyOS for Thin Client 1.0 are available.
• Certificates that ensure secure data transmission between the Thin Client and the Administration Server are automatically installed on managed thin clients.

Data migration to Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console

If you want to start using Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console, you can switch from Kaspersky Security Center installed in your network to Kaspersky Security Center Cloud Console.

Supporting the encryption management in the hierarchy of Administration Servers

Encrypted managed devices can now be moved between Administration Servers. For example, if the user of such a device visits a local office that has a secondary Administration Server, the user’s device connects to this secondary Administration Server; however, when the user is back at the headquarters office again, the device reconnects to the primary Administration Server.

Network Agent

• You can now install Kaspersky applications for macOS and Linux by using Network Agent.

Export to SIEM systems

• The "Engine" and "Method" fields for virus activity events are now exported to SIEM systems.
• The following new SIEM systems are supported:
  • IBM QRadar 7.3
  • Micro Focus ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager 7.0

Support of MariaDB

You can use MariaDB—an open source database—as an alternate database for Kaspersky Security Center Administration Server; handling MariaDB is identical to handling MySQL.

Integration

Expanded the list of OpenAPI methods. Added the following:

• Management of the policy and the policy profile
• Task management

Working with Google Cloud

Kaspersky Security Center works with Google Cloud by using Google API (Application Programming Interface). Now you can deploy Administration Server in Google Cloud environment, create a database, and protect Google virtual machines. You can use the Setup Wizard for work in cloud environment by providing your Google Cloud credentials to Kaspersky Security Center.

Other improvements

• Improved report generation: if a secondary Administration Server is not available within the hierarchy, this is explicitly stated in the report.
• Implemented the Change Tasks Password Wizard. You can automatically replace your old password with a new one for all tasks in which the account is specified. You can also do this manually in the properties of each task.

• Deployment of the Windows 10 (version 2004) operating system image using Kaspersky Security Center 10 through a PXE server is not supported.
• When you attempt to select items (updates or vulnerabilities) from several different pages of the list, only the items selected on the last displayed page are saved.
• When you create a task for a managed application and assign this task to a device selection, the selection may include devices that do not have the corresponding managed application; however, the task never runs on those devices.
• After you delete the iOS MDM Server policy, the iOS MDM settings are not deleted from devices connected to the virtual Administration Server.
• Users without the Read permission in the Remote installation area still can see installation packages in the administration group properties.
• After a device is moved from the list of unassigned devices to a different administration group, the list is not updated.
• In Microsoft Windows XP, Network Agent may perform the following operations incorrectly: 
  • downloading updates directly from Kaspersky servers (if Network Agent functions as the distribution point)
  • acting as a KSN proxy server (if Network Agent functions as the distribution point)
  • detecting vulnerabilities in third-party applications (when using Vulnerability and Patch Management)
• Administration Console may return error messages when running the Administration Server data backup task.

Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console

• Cannot assign a connection gateway in demilitarized zone (DMZ).
• The Administration Server Quick Start Wizard displays obsolete versions of Windows operating systems some of which have been discontinued.
• Sorting is not available in the list of distribution packages.
• Sorting is not available in tables; capability to vary the width of table columns is not available.
• When you attempt to add a license key for the second time, an error is returned.
