Patch A for Kaspersky Security Center 12 was released on June 8, 2020.
Patch A includes the following:
- Patch for Administration Console patch_12_0_0_7734_console_a.zip that must be installed on a device with Administration Console installed without Administration Server.
- Patch for Network Agent patch_12_0_0_7734_nagent_a.zip that must be installed on a managed device with Network Agent installed without Administration Server.
- Patch for Administration Server patch_12_0_0_7734_server_a.zip that must be installed on the device assigned to act as Administration Server. This component includes patches for Administration Console and Network Agent.
How to install patch A
- Run the executable file of the patch.
- To install in silent mode, run the patch with the command line key -s.
How to check if the patch has been installed
- Open Kaspersky Security Center and go to the Reports tab.
- Select Report on Kaspersky software versions and open its properties.
- Go to Fields for report and open the Details fields tab.
- Select the Updates installed checkbox.
- Click OK.
Information about the installed patch will be displayed in the list.
Fixes and improvements
Kaspersky Security Center 12
- Microsoft Windows 10 version 2004 is now supported.
- We have fixed the errors that caused the following:
- Active policies created for the parent group were not displayed in the device properties.
- No parameters were passed to the distribution point without changing the proxy server parameters.
- The inapplicable patches were displayed among the updates.
- After upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, some policy settings on the managed device were available for modification.
- It was impossible to view the revision in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android policy.
- It was impossible to create the device selection by tag.
- If a hierarchy of Administration Servers was used, the reports in XLS format got corrupted.
- It was not possible to recognize iPad devices with iPadOS version 13.3 or higher.
- When connecting via desktop sharing technology, no connection request was displayed.
- The reports contained incomplete information about secondary Administration Servers.
- It was impossible to install the Administration Agent on a computer with an IPv6 address under Linux.
- If the managed program policy had the condition of activating a policy profile by the owner's role and there were a large number of accounts (both internal and from Active Directory) on the Administration Server, there was a high load on the database.
- The event logs of Kaspersky Endpoint Security devices contained the following entries: Invalid data in the component status. #1187 Bad parameter "KLCONN_PRCST_COMPONENT_STATUS".
Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console
- Support of the cloud environment
- Using Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console, you can deploy Kaspersky Security Center in Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure cloud environments (a special license is required). To do this, launch the Cloud Configuration Wizard, which will perform the initial configuration of protection for cloud devices. You can also perform other operations on cloud devices and create a “Backup of Administration Server data” task using the database in a cloud environment.
- Remote connection to client devices
- Now you can connect to the client device's desktop using the Network Agent installed on the device, or using Windows desktop sharing. Remote connection to the client device using the Network Agent is also possible if TCP and UDP ports of the client device are not available. In either cases, you will need the klsctunnel tool.
- Remote troubleshooting of client devices
- Now you can perform remote troubleshooting of client devices: work with trace files, download system information and event logs, start and stop applications on client devices.
- Using the list of IP addresses of the devices to move these devices to a group of managed devices
- You can create a list of the IP addresses of the devices you want to move from one group to another and use this list in one of the Moving Devices Wizard steps.
- Forced synchronization of multiple devices
- If you need to know exactly whether synchronization was performed for some devices, you can force synchronization of these devices using the Administration Server.
- Improvements in the interface
- Now the language selection is available on the login page of Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console.
- The hierarchical view of the groups in the Devices menu is displayed even after moving to other sections.
- We have fixed the errors that caused the following:
- The integration with ArcSight system was unstable.
- During the installation of Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console, the path to certificates located in the folder with the Russian name was displayed incorrectly.
- In the Access permissions section, there was no user list for the Managed devices group.
- The Mozilla Firefox browser duplicated the scroll bar for tables.
- The Save and Cancel buttons were duplicated.
- In the uninstallation task properties, it was impossible to change the password specified in the task creation wizard.
- On the page with tags for managed applications, the Select all checkbox was not available.
Known limitations
Kaspersky Security Center 12
- The installation of Windows 10 version 2004 using PXE is not supported.
Kaspersky Security Center 12 Web Console
- If Zip Slip and Zip Bomb attacks are suspected, error messages are displayed only in English.
- In Polish localization the date of license key activation is displayed in MM/DD/YYYYY format.
- It is not possible to open the role properties window from the list of roles assigned to the user.
- The list of unassigned devices is not updated when the device is moved to a group of managed devices.
- It is not possible to sort the notifications by date.
