Conventions used in interaction schemas

The following table provides the conventions used across the schemas.

Document conventions

Icon

Meaning

A server with gray elements on a white background.

Administration Server

A server with blue elements on a light blue background.

Secondary Administration Server

Four rectangles with rounded corners are arranged vertically on top of each other.

DBMS

A computer with a light blue display.

Client device (that has Network Agent and an application from Kaspersky Endpoint Security family installed, or has a different security application installed that Kaspersky Security Center can manage)

A computer with a light yellow display.

Connection gateway

A computer with a green display.

Distribution point

A mobile device.

Mobile client device with Kaspersky Security for Mobile

A browser window.

Browser on the user's device

A rectangle containing the name of the process that opens a port.

Process running on the device and opening a port

A port and its number are located above the line that indicates the connection between a Kaspersky Security Center component and a managed security application.

Port and its number

A gray arrow that points to the right.

TCP traffic (the arrow direction shows the traffic flow direction)

A light gray arrow that points to the right.

UDP traffic (the arrow direction shows the traffic flow direction)

An orange line.

COM invoke

A pink arrow that points to the right.

DBMS transport

A rectangle with rounded corners.

DMZ boundary
