Managing access to a profile

You can assign profile roles to users to grant them access for viewing profile information and configuring a profile.

To provide users or user groups access to a profile:

  1. In the Management Console tree, expand the Profiles node and then expand the node of the profile whose access you want to configure.
  2. Select the Settings node.

    In the workspace, the Access control section displays a list of roles for users of the profile:

    • Profile administrator.
    • Profile Anti-Virus Security Officer.
    • Profile Anti-Virus Security Operator.
  3. Select the check boxes next to the roles that need to be assigned to users or user groups for access to the profile.
  4. Click the kse80mp1_ad button next to the selected role.
  5. Select and add the users or user groups to which you want to grant access to the profile in the selected role.
  6. Click Save to save the changes.

The users will be granted permissions to access the profile in accordance with their assigned roles.

To revoke access to a profile for selected users or user groups:

  1. Complete steps 1–2 of the previous instructions.
  2. Clear the check boxes next to the roles whose access rights you need to revoke from the selected users or user groups of the profile.
  3. Click Save to save the changes.

To update the rights to access a profile for selected users or user groups:

  1. Complete steps 1–2 of the previous instructions.
  2. Clear the check boxes next to the roles whose access rights you need to update for the selected users or user groups of the profile.
  3. Click the Save button.
  4. Re-select the check boxes next to the roles whose access rights you need to update for the selected users or user groups of the profile.
  5. Click Save to save the changes.
