Using a configuration file

April 2, 2024

ID 203211

Certain application behavior settings are saved in configuration files: special text files located in the application installation directory. Editing these files may affect application behavior.

Configuration files can be edited by Technical Support to adjust application behavior or to expand diagnostics. In this case, the edited files are provided by Technical Support and placed in the folder according to the instructions from the support engineer. The instructions are provided together with the configuration file.

Changes to the configuration file that are not provided for in the instructions may have an unpredictable effect on the application and even cause protection to be stopped.
