Configuring personal Backup

The personal Backup is displayed in the personal user mode.

To configure personal Backup:

  1. In the application web interface window, select the SettingsPersonal accountsBackup section.
  2. If you want personal user mode to display the section of personal Backup with information about messages placed there, enable the Personal Backup toggle switch.

The rest of the section options are available only if the Personal Backup toggle switch is enabled.

  3. If you want personal user mode to allow viewing messages in personal Backup, enable the Preview messages toggle switch.

A personal user can view a message in HTML format or in plain text. The HTML view mode is available if the message contains data in HTML format and if the Anti-Virus module assigned the Not detected, Encrypted, Not scanned, or Bases error status after a scan; this mode is also available for messages with macros. Plain text viewing mode is available for all messages in personal Backup.

  4. If you want personal user mode to allow deleting messages from personal Backup, enable the Delete messages toggle switch.
  5. If you want personal user mode to allow delivery of messages from personal Backup, enable the Allow sending messages from Backup toggle switch.

From the personal Backup, you can send messages in which the Anti-Virus, Anti-Phishing and Link scanning modules did not detect any threats, as well as messages with macros.

  6. In the Deliver messages from personal Backup in this format drop-down list, select the format in which you want messages to be delivered from personal Backup:
    • In an attachment.
    • As is.
  7. Some mail systems, for example, Microsoft Exchange Server, may reject repeated delivery of a message with the same SMTP Message-ID header. To deliver messages in their original form from personal Backup to such systems, you must remove the SMTP Message-ID header. To do so, move the Remove SMTP Message-ID toggle switch to the Enabled position.

Available only for the As is message delivery format.

If the message has a DKIM signature, removing the SMTP Message-ID header may damage it.

  8. If you want to allow a personal user to view information about messages in group mailboxes that have been placed in Backup, turn on the Allow access to Backup of group mailboxes toggle switch.

To enable access to the group mailbox Backup, the loading of the Active Directory delegation attribute into the LDAP cache must also be configured.

  9. Click Save.

Personal backup is configured.
