You can exclude folders and files by mask from the protection area. For more information about configuring main protection profile settings, see Online Help.
When creating a mask, use the following characters:
- "*” replaces any set of characters except the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".
- “**” replace any set of characters including the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".
- “?” replaces any character except the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".
The "*" character is not supported at the beginning of the path. This character can cause the application and virtual machines to fail.
