To change the application access password in the Administration Console:

  1. Open Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
  2. In the Managed devices folder of the console tree, open the folder with the name of the administration group to which the relevant protected virtual machines belong.
  3. In the workspace, select the Policies tab.
  4. Select a Light Agent for Windows policy in the list of policies and open the Properties: <Policy name> by double-clicking.
  5. In the Light Agent for Windows policy properties window, select the Interface section in the list on the left.

The local interface settings are displayed in the right part of the window.

  6. In the Password protection section, click the Settings button.

    The Password protection window opens.

  7. In the New user name field, type the new name of the user on whose behalf the application will be accessed.
  8. In the New password field type a new password for accessing the application.

For security purposes, you are advised to set a password that is at least 8 characters long and use at least three of the four categories of characters: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numerals, and special characters.

  9. Confirm the new password in the Confirm password field.
  10. Click OK.

The application verifies the entered passwords. If the passwords match, the application applies the new password and closes the Password protection window. If the passwords do not match, the application displays the appropriate message.

  11. Click the Apply button.

To change the application access password in the local interface:

  1. Open the application settings window.
  2. In the left part of the window, in the Other settings section, select Interface.

The local interface settings are displayed in the right part of the window.

If the settings in the local interface are not available, this means that the values of settings defined by the policy are used for all protected virtual machines of the administration group.

  3. Complete steps 6–10 of the previous instructions.
  4. To save changes, click the Save button.
