1. Configure USB devices redirection using these instructions.
2. Press +R on the keyboard.
3. Type gpedit.msc and click OK.
4. Go to Computer configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components.
5. Select Remote Desktop Services → Remote Desktop Session Host → Printer Redirection.
6. Click Do not allow client printer redirection, select Disabled and click Apply.
7. Go to Device and Resource Redirection.
8. Click Do not allow drive redirection, select Disabled and click Apply.
9. Open the command line as an administrator and run the command:
   gpupdate /force
10. Reboot the computer.

1. Install a printer driver on a remote computer. Use a driver installation file from the manufacturer of your printer.
   Also, you can physically connect the printer to your computer and install the driver through the system update checker.
2. Connect the printer to Kaspersky Thin Client.
3. Switch on the printer, wait a few minutes and check that the printer is active, i.e. not in the power saving mode.
4. Press +R on the keyboard of the remote computer.
5. Type control printers and click OK.
6. Make sure that the redirected printer is displayed in the Devices and Printers window.
7. If the redirected printer is displayed in the Devices and Printers window, proceed to step 3. Otherwise, proceed to step 4.

1. Right-click the printer and select Printer properties from the shortcut menu.

2. Click Print Test Page and try a test print.

3. If the test print fails, check for a printer driver update using the Windows Update Center:
   1. Press +R on the keyboard of the remote computer.
   2. Type control update and click OK.
   3. Click Check for updates.

   4. 

4. After updating, retry the test print.

If the redirected printer is not displayed in the Devices and Printers window or if the test print failed, do the following:

1. Delete previously created copies of the printer (if any). To do so, select the printer copy that you want to remove and click Remove device → Yes.
2. Click Add a printer.

3. Click The printer that I want isn't listed.

4. Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click Next.

5. Select Use an existing port, select the virtual printer port (usually USB001) from the drop-down list and click Next.

6. Select Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended) and click Next.

7. Enter a name for the printer and click Next.

8. Select Do not share this printer and click Next.

9. Try to print a test page and click Finish.

Previously deleted printers are displayed in the device list or you cannot add a printer

Cause

In some cases, after removing a printer from the device list, the Windows registry is not cleaned. Then you may see nonexistent printer copies when attempting to print.

Solution

Remove nonexistent printer keys from the Windows Registry:

1. Press +R on the keyboard of the remote computer.
2. Type regedit and click OK.
3. Open the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers registry branch and remove extra printer copies.

4. Reboot the computer.

Cannot reset the printer without replacing the current driver

If you didn’t manage to reset the printer without replacing the current driver, do the following:

1. Remove the previously created printer copy and restart the computer.
2. Follow points 1–5 from step 4.
3. Select Replace the current driver and click Next.

4. Select the driver for your printer from the list or select Have Disk....

5. Click Next.

6. Follow points 7–9 from step 4.
