To configure SNMP server connection settings:
- In the application web interface window, select the Settings → Logs and events → SNMP section.
- In the Socket type drop-down list, select the socket for connecting to the SNMP server.
Selecting UNIX is recommended for secure communication.
- If you select UNIX, in the UNIX socket path box, enter the path to the socket file.
- If you select TCP, in the SNMP server address settings group, type the IP address or host name of the SNMP server and SNMP server connection port.
- In the Server timeout (s) box, enter the maximum SNMP server response wait time in seconds. You can enter a value from 1 to 255 seconds.
The default setting is 15 seconds.
- Click Save.
The SNMP server connection is configured.
