Kaspersky app for Android provides comprehensive protection for your mobile devices. The following features and components are available as part of Kaspersky app for Android.

Kaspersky app for Android features and components

*In Kaspersky app versions 11.80.X.XXX and earlier, Automatic Anti-Virus was called Real-Time Protection.

**In Kaspersky app versions 11.80.X.XXX and earlier, Safe Browsing was called Internet Protection.

***In Kaspersky app versions 11.80.X.XXX and earlier, Where Is My Device was called Anti-Theft. It is still called Anti-Theft in some sections of My Kaspersky.

****In Kaspersky app versions 11.94.X.XXX and earlier Smart Home Monitor was called Devices on My Network.

*****The limited version of Kaspersky VPN functionality is included in both Free and Premium versions of Kaspersky app for Android. Uninstall Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection from your mobile device so that Kaspersky app for Android can work without errors. The Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection settings are deleted after the application is uninstalled. If you have purchased a subscription for the Premium version of Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection, it will be applied to the Kaspersky VPN feature of Kaspersky app for Android.

Scanner

You can perform the following types of scans:

• Full scan

  The Kaspersky app scans the device's entire file system. A full scan helps protect your personal data and money. It detects and eliminates threats (in installed apps and installation packages) on your device. A full scan also detects adware and apps that intruders may use to harm your device or exploit your personal data.

• Quick scan

  The Kaspersky app only scans installed apps.

• Scan of specific files and folders. Lets you scan a file you've recently downloaded or a folder that was recently created or updated.

Due to technical limitations, the app can't scan archives that are 4 GB or larger. The app skips these archives when scanning and doesn't notify you if such archives are skipped.

Automatic Anti-virus

Automatic Anti-Virus provides anti-virus protection. The component detects and neutralizes threats, adware, and apps that intruders may use to harm your device or exploit your personal data.

Safe Browsing

Safe Browsing checks websites before opening them for you. It blocks malicious websites, which try to distribute malware, and phishing websites, which try to steal your confidential data and gain access to your financial accounts.

Safe Messaging

The Safe Messaging feature will check SMS text messages and messages you receive via WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram and Google Hangouts for phishing links.

Where Is My Device

Where Is My Device protects your data against unauthorized access and helps locate your device if it is lost or stolen. You can send commands to your device remotely via My Kaspersky.

App Lock

The App Lock feature protects your private data. You can lock apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Photos, Messages, Snapchat, Instagram, Viber, Gmail, Settings, and any other apps to prevent others from accessing these apps. When you open an app protected by App Lock, Kaspersky app prompts you to unlock access to the app using your secret code, unlock pattern or fingerprint.

Call Filter

Call Filter lets you block unwanted calls, for example, calls from telemarketers. The app filters calls by using a contact denylist that you create. Your number appears busy to unwanted contacts.

My Apps

The My Apps feature allows you to optimize storage space on your device and review permissions you have granted to apps installed on your device. Find out which apps you do not use and delete them. Learn what are the potential risks of the granted permissions.

Data Leak Checker

Data Leak Checker checks your accounts for data leaks and alerts you when information about you becomes publicly accessible. It also advices what to do when your data leaked.

In the free version, limited functionality is available: the app only checks your My Kaspersky account for data leaks. Full feature functionality is available in the Personal and Family package of Kaspersky Security Cloud.

Weak Settings Scan

The Weak Settings Scan searches for weak settings of the operating system. If it detects weak settings in the operating system, it prompts you to fix them in order to restore the security of the operating system.

Secure QR Scanner

Secure QR Scanner checks links contained in QR codes or barcodes before you open them and warns you about malicious ones.

Smart Home Monitor

The Smart Home Monitor feature shows devices that are connected to your home Wi-Fi network. Using this feature, you can prevent unauthorized devices from connecting to your network and check the protection state of your devices connected to the network. This feature is available in the Personal and Family package of Kaspersky Security Cloud.

Kaspersky VPN

Kaspersky VPN hides your real location and encrypts all data sent and received by your device.
