How to enable or disable notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks in Kaspersky Internet Security 19
When you are connected to a public or home wireless network that is not secure enough, your personal information could be intercepted by criminals.
Kaspersky Total Security checks the status of Wi-Fi network based on the data from Kaspersky Security Network and some other criteria, for example, whether a vulnerable encryption protocol or a common Wi-Fi network’s name (SSID) are used. Based on this information, Kaspersky Internet Security determines whether or not the network is secure.
By default, notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks are disabled. We recommend enabling this feature if you use wireless networks.
How to enable or disable notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks
- In the main window of Kaspersky Internet Security, click .
- To learn how to open the application, see this article.
- Go to the Protection section and click Firewall.
- Select or clear the Notify of vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks checkbox.
- If you have enabled notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks, select the Block and warn about insecure transmission of passwords over the Internet checkbox.
Notifications about vulnerabilities in Wi-Fi networks have been set.
