Activating the app
The process by which a subscription takes effect, allowing you to use the full functionality of the application until the subscription expires.
Active key
A key that is currently used by the application.
Additional subscription key
A key that certifies the right to use the application but is not currently being used.
Anti-virus databases
Databases that contain information about computer security threats known to Kaspersky as of when the anti-virus databases are released. Entries in anti-virus databases allow malicious code to be detected in scanned objects. Anti-virus databases are created by Kaspersky specialists and updated hourly.
Application
A software, designed to fulfill a particular purpose.
Configuration profile
A file that includes a set of settings and restrictions for your child on iOS device.
Kaspersky update servers
A list of Kaspersky's HTTP and FTP servers from which the application downloads database updates to mobile devices.
License key
A unique alphanumeric sequence. A license key enables use of the application in accordance with the End User License Agreement (license type, validity period, and restrictions). You can use the application only when you have a license key.
My Kaspersky account
A user account that is required to sign in to My Kaspersky as well as to use certain Kaspersky applications. You can create the account when registering on My Kaspersky. This account can also be used to access other Kaspersky resources.
Shared subscription
A subscription with the shared protection package that allows the subscription owner to share the purchased protection with other users and remotely take care of security of their devices.
Subscription
A financial plan with continuous payments – cancel at any time – that can be either active or inactive. Active subscription has an agreed upon automatic payment interval.
Subscription term
A time period during which you have access to the application features and rights to use additional services. The services you can use depend on the type of the subscription.
Update
The procedure of replacing or adding new files (databases or application modules) retrieved from the Kaspersky update servers.
