There is a known limitation in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10, which is partial incompatibility with CheckPoint VPN client R75. The issue is caused by the fact that the Zone Alarm Firewall driver that is included in the installation package of CheckPoint VPN client R75, conflicts with system components of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.

To eliminate the problem, install CheckPoint VPN client R75 without the Zone Alarm Firewall driver.

To install CheckPoint VPN client R75 without Zone Alarm Firewall, run the following command from the command line:

CheckPointEndpointSecurity.msi FW_INSTALL=NO

If you do not want to remove the Zone Alarm Firewall driver in spite of the incompatibility issue, you can disable it to ensure the correct functioning of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10.

To disable the driver:

  1. Boot your system in the Safe Mode

  2. Rename the driver vsdatant.sys. In Windows XP, the driver's location is C:\Windows\system32\vsdatant.sys; in later versions of Windows, its location is normally С:\windows\system32\drivers\vsdatant.sys.

  3. Open the System Registry (use the regedit command in the command line), select the node HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\vsdatant, and change the value of the Start key to 0 (zero).

Please note. When installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10, the Setup wizard detects the Zone Alarm Firewall driver as incompatible, which stops the installation. It is necessary that you remove the incompatible driver before you start installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 on a computer where CheckPoint VPN client R75 is already installed with the Zone Alarm Firewall driver.
