Web Anti-Virus scans all websites and files received over HTTP or HTTPS protocols for malicious code. If any malicious code is detected, Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac blocks the file or website and notifies you about it.
Web Anti-Virus only scans traffic in Safari, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
How to enable or disable Web Anti-Virus
We do not recommended disabling Web Anti-Virus. Doing so could cause your Mac to become infected and your data to be lost.
- Click the application icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Preferences.
- Select or clear the Enable Web Anti-Virus checkbox.
Web Anti-Virus will be enabled or disabled.
