How to open Kaspersky Security Cloud
The article refers to Kaspersky Security Cloud — Family and Kaspersky Security Cloud — Personal.
By default, Kaspersky Security Cloud launches automatically at Windows startup. If you did not change the application's startup settings, your computer is always protected even if the antivirus window is hidden.
In the main window of Kaspersky Security Cloud, you can see the protection status of your computer, protection components, antivirus databases release date, and the license term.
How to open the main application window
To open the main window of Kaspersky Security Cloud, click its icon in the lower-right corner of the Desktop.
If the application icon is hidden from the notification area, click the Show hidden icons arrow.
If there is no Kaspersky Lab icon in the notification area, the application is not running and your computer is not protected. Run the application using the guide below.
How to open the settings
To open the settings window, right-click the application icon in the lower-right corner of the Desktop. In the shortcut menu, select Settings.
How to launch the application
- Open File Manager by pressing the Win+E combination on the keyboard.
- Find the avpui.exe file:
- For Windows XP (32-bit / 64-bit):
- C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 18.0.0
- For Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10 (32-bit):
C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 18.0.0 - For Windows Vista/7/8/10 (64-bit):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Cloud 18.0.0
Double-click the avpui.exe file.
- In the lower-right corner of Desktop, click the application icon. Kaspersky Security Cloud is now running with the main window open.
What to do if the application does not start
If Kaspersky Security Cloud does not start, then the protection does not work or works incorrectly. In this case, try reinstalling the application.
