This article concerns:

  • Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 6.х Agentless
  • Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.х Agentless

You can exclude folders and files by mask from the protection area. For more information about configuring main protection profile settings, see Online Help.

When creating a mask, use the following characters:

  • "*” replaces any set of characters except the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".
  • “**” replace any set of characters including the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".
  • “?” replaces any character except the file and folder name separators in the paths "\" and "/".

The "*" character is not supported at the beginning of the path. This character can cause the application and virtual machines to fail.
