The Data Encryption functional module in Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 for Personal Computer is designed for protecting confidential information against unauthorized access and data leakage that may occur as a result of incomplete deletion of user's data or unprotected writing of system files by the operating system.

To protect your personal data, the mechanism of encryption is used. It means that data is stored in an encrypted form in a special container. Container is an encrypted object created by the user with the Data encryption function.

128 Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), a symmetric encryption algorithm, is used to encrypt the container.

You have to enter a password to access the data stored in the container. Kaspersky Small Office Security 3 should be installed on the computer.

When you access the protected container, data stored in the container are automatically decrypted in RAM. When you complete work with data, they are automatically encrypted.

Create an encrypted container to store your personal data securely.
