How to deploy a secure virtual machine on Hyper-V Server

To deploy a secure virtual machine (SVM) via the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console, perform the following actions:

  1. Open the Administration Console, select Administration Server and click Manage Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent

Note: the link Manage Kaspersky Security for Virtualization Light Agent is only active when the Kaspersky Security 3.0 Light Agent – Protection Server plug-in is installed.

  1. In the wizard's window, select Deploy SVM and click Next.

  1. Specify the required parameters:

  • Platform. Select Windows Server (Hyper V) as a platform type.
  • Hypervisor address. IP address or a domain name of the hypervisor.
  • User name. Name of the account that has connection permissions. 
  • Password. Specify the password of the user account specified above. 

  1. Review the hypervisor parameters and click Next.

  1. Select an image description file.

  1. Specify SVM's parameters: 

  • Name of the SVM that will be displayed in the hypervisor's console.
  • Network name.
  • Path to the SVM image folder.

  1. Set up a password that will be used for remotely accessing the SVM and editing its settings. Now you can allow remote access via SSH.

  1. Follow the wizard's instructions to complete SVM deployment. When the process is complete, the SVM's name, which you specified at Step 6, will appear on the list.

To connect to the SVM, use the credentials specified as Root account password at Step 7.
