Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 3.0 Agentless released on June 23, 2014. The release consists of the following builds:

  • File Anti-Virus version 3.0.0.92.
  • Network Attack Blocker version 3.0.0.61.

Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 3.0 Agentless features the following improvements:

  • VMware vSphere 5.5 is now supported.
  • The following additional guest operating systems are now supported on virtual machines protected by the File Anti-Virus component:
    • Windows 8 (32-bit, 64-bit).
    • Windows Server® 2003 R2 (32-bit, 64-bit).
    • Windows Server 2012 without ReFS (Resilient File System) support (64-bit).
  • The Network Attack Blocker component now can be removed from the VMware virtual infrastructure using a single procedure. Removing the Network Attack Blocker component from all VMware clusters no longer requires performing two procedures (removing SVMs with the Network Attack Blocker component installed and unregistering Kaspersky Network Protection service, a Network Attack Blocker component, in VMware vShield Manager).
  • After detecting a URL in the database of malicious URLs and blocking the web page, Kaspersky Security displays a notification in the browser window.
