The article concerns Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server (version 9.0.37507.0).
 
 
 
 

Before installing Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server, you must create a user account to run the services with its privileges.  The account must have the following privileges:

  • Local administrator privileges on the servers on which Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server will be installed. The privileges are required for saving application data to the installation folder and using the Stsadm utility.
  • Farm Administrator privileges,  required for identification of the account under which the Administration Console is running.
  • SharePoint_Config and SharePoint_AdminContent_UID database permissions,  required for correct work of the Stsadm utility which is used for controlling Microsoft SharePoint antivirus settings.

To grant database permissions to the user account, perform one of the actions:

  • Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to grant the Dbowner role to the user account.
  • Use the following SharePoint Management Shell command:
    • Get-SPDatabase | ?{$_.Name -eq "SharePoint_Config"} | Add-SPShellAdmin –Username domainname\UserName
    • SharePoint_ConfigMicrosoft SharePoint server configuration database name.
    • domainname\UserName – name of the created user account.
