All files located on the SharePoint server are subject to content filtering in  Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server. The filter uses the following aspects:

  • file formats;
  • file name masks;
  • file names and contents.

Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server contains predefined categories of words and phrases created by Kaspersky engineers. The database is downloaded from Kaspersky servers and cannot be changed. However, you can create your own categories of unwanted words and phrases.

Content filtering is based on the filter libraries that support the IPersistStream interface. To enable and disable filters installed on the server, use the Kaspersky IFilter Utility that is installed along with  Kaspersky Security 9.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Server.
