Starting with the SP2 version, Kaspersky Security Center 10 features the new option in the Network Agent policy: Download updates and anti-virus databases from Administration Server in advance.

When the check box is selected, then the offline update model is enabled. If the updates from the Administration Server have been received 25 or more hours before the update task start, the Network Agent provides updates from the local cache. Connection to the Administration Server is not required.

If the check box is not selected, then offline updates are disabled. In this case, updates are distributed according to the active update task.

By default, the check box is selected and the offline update is enabled.
