Patches A–S for version 19.0.0.1088
Patch S
Patch S for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on August 15, 2022.
Patch S adds the support of the RFC9218 standard for HTTP/2. This will eliminate errors accessing certain websites.
To install the patch:
- Run the database update for Kaspersky Security Cloud. See this article for instructions.
- Once the update is complete, restart the computer.
The patch will be installed. To make sure that the patch was installed successfully, open the application's main window and click in the lower-left corner. In the window that opens, you will see the full application version number with the letter s added to it.
To complete the patch installation successfully, computer reboot is required. If you don't reboot the computer in seven days after the application receives the patch, the icon on the Windows taskbar will turn red.
Patch R
Patch R for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on June 6, 2022.
In patch R we have optimized the application performance.
Patch O
Patch O for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on March 9, 2022.
Patch O fixes several application issues.
Patch N
Patch N for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on September 14, 2020.
In patch N we have fixed:
- The issue of license connectivity with Kaspersky Password Manager.
- We have fixed the incorrect display of a country through which the connection is established in the Kaspersky Secure Connection interface.
Patch M
Patch M for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on May 13, 2020.
In patch M:
- Added compatibility with Windows 10 20H1 (version 2004).
- After an unsuccessful automatic update attempt, Kaspersky Security Cloud will try to install the latest updates two more times. Automatic updates will help you protect your devices against the latest threats.
Patch L
Patch L for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on February 17, 2020.
In patch L:
- Added limited compatibility with Windows 10 20H1.
- Fixed vulnerability that allowed to bypass certificate check.
- Several other errors fixed, including those detected with your help.
Patch K
Patch K for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on December 9, 2019.
In patch K we have fixed several application issues.
To install the patch:
- Run the database update for Kaspersky Security Cloud. See this article for instructions.

Patch J for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on November 25, 2019.
With patch J:
- We have fixed the vulnerability which allowed removing third-party extensions from Google Chrome.
- We have fixed a number of minor issues, some of which have been detected with the help of our users.
Patch I
Patch I for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on October 22, 2019.
With patch I:
- We've added support for update 19H2 for Windows 10 (version 1909).
- We've fixed found errors and further optimized the program.
Patch H
Patch H for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on September 9, 2019.
Patch H fixes the vulnerability which could be used for acquiring unauthorized permissions in Windows.
Patch G
Patch G for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on July 29, 2019.
Patch G fixes the following issues:
- Kaspersky Security Cloud sometimes stopped responding after it was sent to restart or failed to load upon computer restart.
- When working in the background mode, Kaspersky Security Cloud could affect the processor performance.
- The System Watcher component blocked the portable version of Puttytray in some cases.
- The TDSSKiller tool sometimes failed to start if Kaspersky Security Cloud was running.
- Kaspersky Security Cloud sometimes failed to connect to My Kaspersky on ASUS devices.
- Safe Money blocked access to www.alpha.gr in some cases.
We have also fixed a number of minor issues, some of which were discovered by our users.
Patch F
Patch F for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on May 27, 2019.
In Patch F:
- For Windows 10 users: we've improved the compatibility of Kaspersky Security Cloud with the 19H1 (RS6) update so that you will not have any issues with our antivirus when the operating system updates.
- You can now install Yandex Browser along with the product.
- We've changed the link to the forum in the Support window to a link to the new Kaspersky Lab Community. You can use it to search for answers to your questions or to ask a question directly.
- We've improved the scanning of MSI files in order to increase your security.
- We've found and closed a vulnerability that allowed a third-party application to use the Kaspersky Security Cloud self-defense mechanism.
- For Mozilla Firefox users: previously, Protected Browser would not always be framed in green when opened in Mozilla Firefox. We've fixed this issue.
- Previously, Kaspersky Security Cloud would occasionally block the websites https://www.mql5.com and https://gestobrig.com from opening. We've fixed this issue.
- For Yandex Browser users: previously, some websites occasionally wouldn't open. We've fixed this issue.
- Previously, the notifications about a child's activity would not work correctly for users who switched from Kaspersky Free to Kaspersky Security Cloud. We've fixed this issue.
- Previously, icons for the URL scanning module would occasionally be duplicated in search results. We've fixed this.
- We've fixed several other small errors that we detected, and that you brought to our attention.
Patch E
Patch E for Kaspersky Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on April 8, 2019.
Patch E contains the following additions and improvements:
- For Windows 10 users:
- We have added full support of the 19H1 update. This means that you will have no issues with our anti-virus after your system updates.
- We have increased your security by adding support of the Per-Directory Case Sensitivity feature provided in the RS5 update, which allows you to make certain file names and paths case-sensitive.
- You will no longer encounter payment or installation issues should you wish to switch to Kaspersky Security Cloud from Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security.
- We have fixed an issue that caused the order page that opened when purchasing a license from within the application to load slowly.
- We have improved the scanning of secure connections. This means that HTTPS pages will now open more quickly.
- We have improved your security when using HSTS websites.
- You will now see the URL address of the resource that Kaspersky Security Cloud has detected an issue with when checking the certificate. This will allow you to prevent a dangerous resource from being added to the exclusions list.
- We have added support for protection against the Spectre 2 vulnerability. This means that you will have no issues with our anti-virus when you activate Spectre 2 vulnerability protection in Windows.
- We have added a notification about the successful upgrading of Kaspersky Security Cloud to the new version.
- We have fixed an issue in which, when renewing a subscription or license, Kaspersky Security Cloud occasionally did not update its term.
- We have fixed an issue that caused YouTube videos to load more slowly as a result of additional traffic scanning by Kaspersky Security Cloud.
- Kaspersky Security Cloud will no longer reset Application Control settings.
- We have found and closed a vulnerability that allowed the Anti-Banner and Privacy Protection components to be disabled without your knowledge.
- We have found and closed a vulnerability that allowed the Kaspersky Protection extension to be removed without your knowledge.
- We have found and closed an XSS (cross-site scripting) vulnerability when using Internet Explorer and Edge.
- We have fixed an issue that sometimes caused Kaspersky Security Cloud to block connections to the Google Cloud Firestore cloud database
- You will now be able to open the website www.bancomer.com in Protected Browser without any issues.
- For users of the Ausweis2 app: you will now be able to use the app on the same device as our anti-virus without any issues.
- For Chromecast users: you will no longer get a notification about a certificate issue when streaming through the Chrome browser.
- We have also fixed various other issues that we detected, and that you alerted us to.
Patch D
Patch D for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on December 3, 2018.
In Patch D:
- The Kaspersky Protection extension has been made compatible with future versions of Google Chrome.
- The procedure for installing certificates in the Mozilla Firefox storage has been improved.
- The procedure for switching to Kaspersky Security Cloud from Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security, and Kaspersky Total Security has been improved.
- Support for long file and folder paths (over 260 characters) has been added for the Anti-Spam component.
- A capability has been added in the Application Control component for categorizing scripts in the OneDrive cloud service.
- Some capabilities have been removed in order to improve security. It is no longer possible to:
- Kill processes using the Application Control component.
- Disable the PPL technology process avp.exe.
- Some errors have been fixed.
Patch C
Patch С for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on September 27, 2018.
- Support of Windows 10 RS5 has been added.
- Statistics relating to the Protect a Friend programme are no longer gathered.
- The link to the comparison of the Family and Personal rates in Kaspersky Security Cloud — Free has been changed: the link now leads to the page with the selected rate.
- The My Kaspersky link in the main application window has been changed: it now leads to the My Kaspersky account dashboard.
- The link to the Online Help in the analysis schedule window has been fixed: it now leads to the article "How to configure a scheduled analysis".
- An issue sending or receiving emails in Windows Live Mail has been fixed.
- An issue has been fixed that caused threats detected in an archive not to be blocked after restarting the operating system.
- An issue has been fixed that made it impossible to change the interface language using the Shift+F12 and Shift+F5 keyboard shortcuts.
- An issue has been fixed that prevented the application from starting automatically after rebooting Windows when Patch B was installed.
- An issue has been fixed that caused webcam control not to work on Windows 10 RS4 17134.
- An issue has been fixed that caused the application not to notify the user about a problem starting or operating after the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error.
Patch B
Patch B for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on July 17, 2018.
In Patch B:
- VPN connection statistics are now collected. The statistics will only be sent to Kaspersky Lab if the user has confirmed their acceptance of the Kaspersky Security Network Statement.
- Support of Cloud Files in Windows 10 RS3 and RS4 has been added.
- A notification has been added about an issue installing a Kaspersky Lab certificate in Mozilla Firefox if a master password has been set.
- The End User License Agreement has been changed.
- An error has been fixed that caused the Internet connection to slow down after upgrading the application to the new version.
- An error that occurred when checking certificates for mail clients has been fixed.
- An error has been fixed that prevented files larger than 15 MB from loading.
- An error that allowed the application's self-defense mechanism to be bypassed during installation has been fixed.
- An error that occurred when trying to access the router interface has been fixed.
- An error has been fixed that sometimes caused the size of a browser window to change after enabling or disabling password protection.
- An error has been fixed that occurred when making payments in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox after following a link in an email from Rabobank.
- An issue with displaying network properties in Firewall has been fixed. It occurred if the network properties had been modified and the application restarted.
- An issue with starting rootkit searches has been fixed. It occurred when the system date had been changed or the tasks were started at scheduled times.
- An error has been fixed that caused the application to continue working with a remote My Kaspersky account.
Patch A
Patch A for Kaspersky Security Cloud version 19.0.0.1088 was released on May 22, 2018.
In Patch А:
- Full support of Win10 RS4 RC 17134 has been added.
- An issue has been fixed that sometimes caused the Mozilla Firefox plugin to be blocked.
- Basic compatibility with Cloud Files in Windows 10 RS3 and RS4 has been added.
- The text has been changed in the forms for connecting to the My Kaspersky portal, as well as in the windows containing information about it.
- The text in the pop-up warning messages is now in lower case.
- Information is now gathered about the operating system on which the application is being installed.
- Hypervisor performance has been restored after the incompatibility with the Junuary 2018 Windows security update.
- An error that occurred when installing the plugin in Mozilla Firefox ESR has been fixed.
- An error that sometimes prevented https pages from opening in the Tor browser has been fixed.
Release of version 19.0.0.1088
The new version of Kaspersky Security Cloud was released on May 22, 2018. The full version number is 19.0.0.1088.
What's new
- The PC Cleaner component has been improved:
- You can now search for and remove browser extensions.
- You can now complain about an application that misbehaves.
- The Application Manager component has been improved:
- A schedule of application and browser extension search has been added.
- It is now possible to exclude applications from analysis based on object category.
- The list of ignored applications has been moved to a separate window.
- The Software Updater component has been improved:
- It is now possible to run a scheduled search for application updates.
- The list of ignored applications has been moved to a separate window.
- The operation of the Safe Money component has been improved:
- It is now possible to open a specific site in Protected Browser by clicking the application icon in the notification area and on the taskbar.
- Feedback forms that let you rate the component performance and report to Technical Support have been improved.
- A notification about whether your computer supports hardware virtualization has been added. The status of hardware virtualization is also displayed in the component settings window.
- The Parental Control component has been improved:
- When the time zone changes, the computer, Internet and application usage time is zeroed out.
- Similar applications, for example, browsers from different vendors, are now controlled as one application.
- The operation of the Anti-Banner component has been improved. New Anti-Banner filters have been added. They let you specify which banners in particular should be blocked.
- The display of notifications has been improved. Notifications that are not critical for application performance are not displayed while you are using office applications, running an application in full-screen mode, watching a video or performing a video call.
- The Tools window has been improved: the application features are now grouped by categories for quick search.
- The Recommended settings window has been added: the checkboxes Delete malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packagers and Detect other software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data have been added.
- It is now possible to scan scripts using Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI). AMSI is a standard Microsoft interface that allows scanning scripts and other objects. The component can only detect a threat and notify about it, but it does not handle threats. The component is available in Microsoft Windows 10 or later.
- Scanning of encrypted connections has been improved. You can now choose actions for sites that returned scan errors and add such sites to exclusions.
- It is now possible to disable decryption of Extended Validation (EV) certificates.
- A new package option, Free, has been added.
- The Account Check functionality has been added. The application checks your accounts on the web and alerts you when any information about you may have become publicly accessible.
- The Hard Drive Health Monitor functionality has been added. You can monitor the health of your hard drive to prevent data loss.
- Device control in your Wi-Fi network has been improved. You can now edit the device type and name.
Discontinued features
- The System Changes Control feature has been removed from the Application Manager component.
- The Communication feature has been removed from the Parental Control component.
- The following features have been discontinued for the Anti-Spam component:
- Integration with Microsoft Office Outlook and Outlook Express.
- User-generated spam base.
- Scan of mail sent though Exchange MAPI.
- Adding a sender’s address to the list of exclusions for Anti-Spam.
- Actions on spam mail detection: move, copy, delete, skip.
Known limitations
- If the Always scan encrypted connections check box is selected, the application will scan encrypted connections even if you have paused protection.
- If the application was installed together with Kaspersky Password Manager and its active plug-in, the Internet Explorer browser does not display the On-Screen Keyboard quick launch icon in the login and password fields. You can open the On-Screen Keyboard by pressing the key combination CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P.
- If the application was installed over one of the previous versions, part of the managed applications may disappear from the list in Parental Control settings.
- After you enable the Anti-Banner component, banners on pages that are already opened in your browser are not blocked until you refresh the pages.
- If the application was installed in Windows 7 and you upgraded the operating system to Windows 10 but now want to revert back to Windows 7, you are advised to uninstall the application and install it again after reverting back to Windows 7.
- On certain websites, the application may block the download of additional pages in pop-up windows or frames. To resolve this issue, clear the Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages check box in the network settings of the application.
- Backup copying and data recovery from storage might not be performed for large collections of files (over hundreds of thousands).
- If interactive protection is disabled, tasks for processing threats on your computer from the My Kaspersky portal might not be performed.
- Certain types of objects from the category Legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data are not processed from the My Kaspersky portal. These threats must be processed on the computer.
- If Windows Explorer is open on your computer, an attempt to fix the dangerous setting Hide Extensions for Known File Types may fail.
- If Microsoft Edge cannot switch to Protected Browser mode, the application starts a different browser installed on your computer in this mode.
- fter upgrading the system from Windows 7 to Windows 10, you may need to reconnect to My Kaspersky portal by changing your account in order to ensure correct operation of the application.
- The following notification may appear on some laptop models: Host Process for Windows Tasks is using the web camera.
- If you disable the Base Filtering Engine in Windows settings (Control Panel → System and Security → Administrative Tools → Services → Base Filtering Engine), the following network protection components stop running: Web Anti-Virus, IM Anti-Virus, Anti-Banner, and Safe Money. The application does not show notifications when the components stop running.
- The Hard Drive Health Monitor component may show invalid values of the parameter Total power-on hours for hard drives of specific brands.
- The application can drain CPU resources when the search for updates for installed applications and the search for unwanted applications run in background mode.
- On detecting some remote administration tools, password managers, or user activity monitoring tools, the application may show two notifications prompting the user to select an action for one and the same object.
- On-Screen Keyboard works incorrectly on Touch Screen devices running Windows 10. When the pointer is moved to On-Screen Keyboard, it stops on the border of On-Screen Keyboard.
