Quarantine in Kaspersky Internet Security 2018

Latest update: February 28, 2018 ID: 13928

Upon detection of a file which is considered infected, Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 tries to disinfect it. If the file cannot be disinfected, Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 moves it to Quarantine.

Quarantine is a storage for files that are probably infected.

Files in the Quarantine folder cannot harm your computer.

By default, the files that cannot be disinfected by Kaspersky Internet Security 2018 are deleted. Copies of such files are preserved in the Quarantine folder. If you are sure the deleted file is safe, you restore it from there to the initial location.

We do not recommend that you restore files from Quarantine as they may harm your computer.
