This article concerns Kaspersky Security for Windows Server version 10.1.1.

When the kavfs service crashes with the PPL sign, it cannot be restored and the sign cannot be removed by standard means. A protected service cannot be deleted or modified.

To restore the functionality of the application after the protected kavfs service has crashed:

  1. Disable the loading of the klelam.sys driver upon computer reboot. See the instructions on the Microsoft website.
  2. Restore the service. See the instructions in the application documentation.

The application’s functionality will be restored.
