Issue

The process Vapm.exe can consume a lot of resources.

Solution

To reduce the load on devices:

  1. Open Kaspersky Security Center 10.
  2. Open the properties of the Network Agent policy and go to Updates and software vulnerabilities.
  3. Clear the Scan executable files for vulnerabilities when running them checkbox and lock the setting so it can’t be edited.

Disabling the scanning of executable files for vulnerabilities when running them in the Network Agent policy

  1. If you are not using the Administration Server as a WSUS server, select Disabled in the Windows Update search mode section. Lock the setting so it can’t be edited.

Disabling the Windows Update search mode in the Network Agent policy

  1. Save the policy.

The Vapm.exe process will consume less resources on devices.
