To form a list of hard drives excluded from encryption:

  1. Open the policy properties in the Administration Console.
  2. Go to Encryption → Encryption of hard drives.
  3. In the right frame of the window, click Add.

  1. The Add devices from Kaspersky Security Center list window will open.
  2. In this window, specify the filters for displaying the device list in the table by specifying the Device name, Computer name values.
  3. Click the Refresh button.

  1. Check the boxes next to the names of hard drives you want to exclude from encryption.
  2. Click OK
  3. The selected hard drives will be displayed in the Do not encrypt the following hard drives section.
  4. If you want to delete the hard drives from this list, select one or several entries in and click Delete.
  5. Click OK to save the changes.

If at the moment the policy is applied to a workstation, a hard drive you added to the list is already encrypted, then its decryption will start according to the exclusion list.

If at the moment the policy is applied to a workstation, encryption of a hard drive is in progress, then first encryption will finish and then the hard drive decryption will start.

If at the moment the policy is applied, the hard drive is decrypted, no other action will be preformed.

To view the current status of the hard drive encryption, please follow the guidelines on How to view the hard drive encryption status.
