In the General section you can perform basic configuration of Kaspersky Password Manager.
In the Startup section you can configure Kaspersky Password Manager startup.
Start Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup
The check box enables or disables start of Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup.
If the check box is selected, Kaspersky Password Manager starts automatically after the operating system loads.
If the check box is cleared, you must start Kaspersky Password Manager manually.
By default, this check box is selected.
Open master password input window at automatic startup of Kaspersky Password Manager
This check box enables or disables the prompt for the master password each time when Kaspersky Password Manager starts automatically.
If the check box is selected, Kaspersky Password Manager prompts you to unlock the data vault each time when the application starts automatically.
If the check box is cleared, Kaspersky Password Manager does not prompt you to unlock the data vault each time when the application starts automatically.
This check box is available only if the Start Kaspersky Password Manager at operating system startup check box is selected.
By default, this check box is selected.
The Master password section lets you change the master password for your account on the My Kaspersky portal.
Change master password
The Change master password button opens the Master password window, in which you can replace the current master password of the vault with a new one.
In the Security section, you can configure the Kaspersky Password Manager autolock interval.
Autolock
In this drop-down list, you can select the time period after which Kaspersky Password Manager automatically locks access to the vault, or disable autolock:
- 1 minutes of inactivity
- 3 minutes of inactivity
- 5 minutes of inactivity
- 10 minutes of inactivity
- 30 minutes of inactivity
- 60 minutes of inactivity
- On screensaver activation
- Off
Prompt to unlock data vault if login and password entry fields are detected on a website
This check box enables or disables automatic notifications about locking the data vault.
If the check box is selected, when a browser switches to a website containing login and password entry fields, Kaspersky Password Manager reminds you that the data vault is locked. You can unlock the data vault to insert data or create an account on the website.
If the check box is cleared, the application does not notify you about locking the data vault.
By default, this check box is selected.
In the Synchronization section, you can enable or disable automatic data synchronization across your devices.
Synchronize passwords and data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed
This check box enables or disables automatic synchronization of data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed.
If the check box is selected, automatic synchronization of data across all devices is enabled.
If the check box is cleared, automatic synchronization of data across all devices is disabled.
By default, this check box is selected.
The My Kaspersky portal account section displays the email address with which Kaspersky Password Manager is connected to the My Kaspersky portal. In this section, you can disconnect Kaspersky Password Manager from the My Kaspersky portal in order to connect the application to the portal using a different account.
Sign out
When this button is clicked, the application is disconnected from the My Kaspersky portal. All unsaved changes to the data vault will be discarded. You will be directed to the Connecting to the My Kaspersky portal window, in which you will be able to specify the credentials of another account to connect to the My Kaspersky portal.
