Data synchronization lets you use and maintain an up-to-date version of the data vault on all your devices, and lets you restore data if your device is replaced or lost. For example, you can add new accounts for websites in Kaspersky Password Manager on your laptop, and then log in to those websites under new accounts from a tablet or smartphone on which Kaspersky Password Manager is installed.
To synchronize data on all your devices, you must install Kaspersky Password Manager on each device and, when Kaspersky Password Manager starts for the first time, specify the same account for connecting to the My Kaspersky portal. If you do this, you will be able to automatically and manually synchronize data.
Kaspersky Password Manager automatically synchronizes data between the vault and online vault in the following cases:
Internet access is required for data synchronization.
The status of data synchronization is displayed in the lower left corner of the main application window.
To disable automatic synchronization:
The application settings window opens.
Data synchronization will be disabled.
To enable data synchronization:
The application will enable automatic data synchronization. The Synchronize passwords and data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed check box will be selected. After enabling automatic synchronization, you can manually synchronize data.
If automatic synchronization is enabled but the data on your devices is out of sync, you can manually run synchronization.
To manually synchronize data:
The application will synchronize data in the data vault and in the online vault.
