Configuring a proxy server connection
If a proxy server is used to connect to the Internet, specify the settings for Kaspersky Password Manager to connect to the proxy server.
By default, Kaspersky Password Manager automatically configures all proxy server connection settings.
To edit the proxy server connection settings:
- Open the main application window.
- In the lower part of the window, click the
button.
- In the application tray menu, select the Settings item.
The application settings window opens.
- In the left part of the window, select the Miscellaneous section.
- In the right part of the window, in the Proxy server section, click the Settings button.
The Proxy server connection settings window opens.
- In the window that appears, select one of the following options:
- Do not use proxy server if you do not want to use a proxy server to connect to the Internet.
- Detect proxy server settings automatically if you want the application to automatically configure the proxy server connection settings.
- Use specified proxy server settings if you want to specify proxy server connection settings manually.
- Specify the address and port used to connect to the proxy server.
- If connecting to the proxy server requires specifying a user name and password, select the Use proxy server authenticationcheck box.
This check box enables or disables use of authentication on the proxy server.
If the check box is selected, proxy server authentication is used. The User name and Password fields are active, and you can enter your login and password. By default, password characters are displayed as asterisks as you type them. Password characters are displayed when you press and hold the left mouse button with the pointer over the
button.
If the check box is cleared, proxy server authentication is not used.
By default, this check box is cleared.
- Specify the user name and password for connecting to the proxy server.
- Click OK.
The changes made to the proxy server connection settings are now saved.
