About Internet protection for your children
When surfing the Internet, your child could encounter unwanted content that is capable of causing psychological trauma. Kaspersky Security Cloud helps you protect your child when using a computer or accessing the Internet. If a child uses the computer, the application emails the license owner an offer to install Kaspersky Safe Kids. You can disable offers of protection for kids in the application settings window.
About Kaspersky Safe Kids
Kaspersky Safe Kids is a product that helps you monitor the security of your child in the real world and virtual world. It is up to you to decide what is safe for your child, such as what websites he or she can visit and how many hours he or she can spend using the computer or smartphone. The application makes sure that your child obeys the rules you have set.
To use Kaspersky Safe Kids, you must download the application installation package from the Internet and manually install the application on the computer.
You can install and configure Kaspersky Safe Kids only under the account of the Kaspersky Security Cloud license owner.
If you use Kaspersky Safe Kids
If a computer has Kaspersky Safe Kids installed, Kaspersky Security Cloud stops emailing the license owner messages containing an offer for child protection. The Receive offers from My Kaspersky to protect kids on the current device setting becomes inactive.
If you signed in to the operating system under an account that is linked to a child profile in Kaspersky Safe Kids, Kaspersky Security Cloud stops showing the following notifications:
- Notifications about security news
- Notifications about the detection of weak settings in the operating system
- Notifications about the current device connecting to a Wi-Fi network
- Notifications about a device connecting to a home Wi-Fi network
- Browser notifications about an insufficiently strong password being entered on a website
- Notifications warning you that the password you are entering on a website has already been previously entered by you on a different website
You can enable notifications by selecting the Show notifications in children's accounts check box in the Notification settings window (Settings → Additional → Notifications).
The capability to download and start Kaspersky Safe Kids in the Kaspersky Security Cloud interface depends on the subscription package of Kaspersky Security Cloud. Kaspersky Safe Kids is available only in Kaspersky Security Cloud Family and is not available in Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal.
If you previously used Parental Control in Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security but then switched to using Kaspersky Security Cloud, those Parental Control settings are not saved and cannot be used in Kaspersky Safe Kids.
Kaspersky Safe Kids is not available in all regions.
