Choosing apps that never use VPN
To choose apps that will connect to the internet without using VPN:
- Open Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection
- Tap
> Settings > Split Tunneling.
- Switch on the toggle in the upper right corner.
In the Apps that always use VPN list:
- To find an app that you don’t want to use VPN, start typing its name.
- Tap on the app name.
The app will move to the Apps that never use VPN list.
If you change your Split Tunneling settings while connected to VPN, you need to reconnect to the VPN to apply the new settings.
Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection prioritizes Split Tunneling over Smart Protection. This means that if you add an app to the Apps that never use VPN list in Split Tunneling but also configure Smart Protection to secure that app’s connection, Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection ignores the Smart Protection setting and allows the app to connect without using VPN.
If both Kill Switch and Split Tunneling are on, apps in the Apps that never use VPN list in Split Tunneling will not use VPN. For all other apps, Kill Switch will cut internet connection if the VPN drops.
