About the computer scanning
About the computer scanning
Kaspersky Security Scan scans different areas of your computer for malware and other threats.
The following scan modes are available:
- On demand scan. Scanning is started manually in the main application window. The application window is open while scanning is in progress. You can monitor the scan progress. An on demand scan can be performed both for separate files, folders and local drives on your computer and for all areas of the computer.
- Scheduled scan. Scanning occurs automatically according to schedule.
If you want to receive notifications about vulnerabilities found during a scheduled scan, select the Show scan results if any problems are detected during scheduled scan check box in the Scan section of the Settings window.
The scan settings can be automatically modified when the anti-virus databases are updated.
