How to switch to a different Kaspersky application

To switch from Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Anti-Virus or Kaspersky Total Security to Kaspersky Standard, Plus or Premium, see this article.
 
 
 
 

If you have one of the Kaspersky applications for home installed, you can switch to a different solution without reinstalling the application. To do so, use the instructions from the Table below.

The following abbreviations are used in this Table:

  • KAV — Kaspersky Anti-Virus
  • KIS — Kaspersky Internet Security
  • KTS — Kaspersky Total Security
If you have bought the license with enabled auto-renewal, it will be activated automatically after purchase. If you want to use the auto-renewal license instead of your one-term license, the remaining term of your license will be lost. However, you can apply it to a Kaspersky application on another computer and use the rest of the license term.

To upgrade the application
to the latest version:
1. Download the installer from the Kaspersky website.
2. Run the installation file
and follow the installation steps.
3. Reboot the computer.

If your current Anti-Virus license has expired,
buy a new activation code.

1. Buy the code for Internet Security from the Kaspersky website.
2. Enter the activation code into your Anti-Virus application.

3. Switch to Internet Security right away or wait until your current license expires.
Note that license terms are not summed.
4. Restart your computer, if necessary.

2. Enter the activation code into your Anti-Virus application.

KIS

1. Buy the code for Anti-Virus from the Kaspersky website.
2. Enter the activation code into your Anti-Virus application.
