Applying a network template to a device

If you have added at least one network template, you can apply a template to one or more devices.

To apply a template to a device:

1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
2. Select the Devices tab.
3. Add a new device or edit an existing device.
4. In the Device template drop-down list, select the network template that you want to apply to this device.
5. Click the Add or Save button.

The network template is applied to the device, and the device inherits all network settings selected in the template. Inherited settings cannot be edited in device settings. If you want to manage some network settings locally on the device, you can enable the Override toggle switch in the in the corresponding section of settings of this device.

To view a list of devices to which a network template is applied:

1. In the main menu of the Open Single Management Platform Console, go to the Application & Services → NGFW section.
2. Select the Network templates tab.
3. Select the check box next to the network template and click the Show associated devices button in the upper part of the workspace.

This opens the Devices section, and the table displays only those devices on which the selected network template is applied.
