Onscreen Keyboard in Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac
Use the Onscreen Keyboard tool when you enter your confidential data (for example, your login and password in an online store) to protect your data from interception. Malicious spyware programs can record your keystrokes and pass the captured information to criminals.
How to install Onscreen Keyboard
- Open the preferences in Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac.
- Go to the Browsers tab.
- Choose the browser and click Get Extension in the Onscreen Keyboard section.
- Browser will open. Install the extension by clicking the corresponding button.
How to open Onscreen Keyboard
To open Onscreen Keyboard from Safari, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox browser, click the Onscreen Keyboard icon next to the address line.

Kaspersky Internet Security 16 for Mac features a quick access option for Onscreen Keyboard. When you open a page with a personal data input field, the Onscreen Keyboard button will appear next to it automatically.
How to enable auto display of Onscreen Keyboard on selection of a password field
If Onscreen keyboard does not appear automatically, check if the Onscreen Keyboard extension is enabled in the browser. You can also enable auto display of Onscreen Keyboard on selection of a password entry field:
Safari
- Open the browser.
- In the OS X menu, select Safari → Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, open the Extensions tab. In the left part of the window, select Virtual Keyboard.
- Select or clear the Show onscreen keyboard on password field selectioncheck box.
Google Chrome
- Open the browser.
- In the OS X menu, select Chrome → Preferences.
- Open the Extensions tab, find Onscreen keyboard and click Options.
- In theOnscreen Keyboard Preferences window, select or clear Show virtual keyboard on password field selection check box.
- Click Save preferences.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open the browser.
- In the OS X menu, select Tools → Add-ons.
- Find Onscreen keyboard on the list of extensions and click Preferences.
- Select or clear Show onscreen keyboard on password field selection.
How to use Onscreen Keyboard
To type with the onscreen keyboard, click the onscreen keyboard keys with your pointing device.
To enter key combinations, click the first key of the combination (for example, Shift), then the second.
English is selected as a default language. To switch the language, click the key with your current language in the lower-left part of the onscreen keyboard.
Apart from English, you can use the German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portugal, Kazakh, or Russian language.
