Protect your connection to an unsecured Wi-Fi network

1. In the main application window, turn VPN on.
2. In the alert that appears, click Yes, Turn On, if you want Kaspersky VPN to turn on VPN automatically when joining an unsecured Wi-Fi network.

1. In the menu bar, click the application icon and choose Settings.

   The application settings window opens.

2. On the Unsecured Wi-Fi tab, select the Enable cloud detection with Kaspersky Security Network checkbox.

   If you don't have Location Services enabled for Kaspersky VPN, a window with instructions opens.

   Note: macOS requires Location Services to be enabled for Kaspersky VPN to obtain a Wi-Fi network name (BSSID). Kaspersky Security Network will use this to detect unsecured Wi-Fi networks. It wonʼt be used to determine your real location.

   Follow the instructions on the screen.

   A dialog with the Statement Regarding Data Processing For Purpose Of Providing Unsecured Wi-Fi Network Cloud Detection With Kaspersky Security Network Functionality (Unsecured Wi-Fi Network Cloud Detection Statement) opens.

3. Do one of the following:
   • If you don't accept the Unsecured Wi-Fi Network Cloud Detection Statement, click Decline.
   • If you accept the Unsecured Wi-Fi Network Cloud Detection Statement, click Accept.

     Note: You can revoke your acceptance by unselecting the Enable cloud detection with Kaspersky Security Network checkbox at any time.

The application will use Kaspersky Security Network to detect unsecured Wi-Fi networks.
