Upgrading the application to Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent with the 5.1.3 update
You can upgrade the following application versions to Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent with the 5.1.3 update:
You cannot upgrade an application version earlier than 4.0 to Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent.
If you have Kaspersky Security Center version 10 SP2 MR1 installed, to upgrade Kaspersky Security to Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent with the 5.1.3, you need to upgrade Kaspersky Security Center to one of the supported versions. If an upgrade of Kaspersky Security Center resulted in problems with the operation of Kaspersky Security, you can find a solution to the problem in the Knowledge Base.

After updating MMC plug-ins, Integration Server and Integration Server Console, it is recommended to run the download updates to the repository task in the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console and make sure that the task completes successfully. Light Agent can connect only to an SVM on which the version of the Protection Server component is compatible with the version of the Light Agent component. The versions of the Light Agent and Protection Server components are compatible within a single version of Kaspersky Security.
Installing Kaspersky Security 5.1.3 update
If you have Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent without updates or with updates 5.1.1 or 5.1.2, you can install update 5.1.3 of Kaspersky Security.
Update 5.1.3 provides the ability to interact with Kaspersky Security Center via the web interface. Update 5.1.3 also includes the functionalities available in all previous updates of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent:
Depending on which functionality of update 5.1.3 you want to use, follow these steps:
Kaspersky Security web plug-ins allow you to manage SVMs and Light Agents of version 5.1 and later.
Update of Kaspersky Security MMC plug-ins and the Light Agent component is not required.
After update 5.1.3 is installed, you can use policies and tasks that were configured for Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent or Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent with the updates 5.1.1 or 5.1.2.
