KSN Usage task does not implies any personal information transfer, except for the scanned files checksums.

• Applications launches control functionality.
  The application allows or denies the executable files launch, scripts launch, MSI packages launch, driver loading, and DLL modules loading via defined applications launch control rules.
  
• Blocking untrusted hosts access to shared network file resources on a protected server. 
  The application allows you to block access to the network file resources in case any malicious activity from an untrusted host has been detected when running Real-Time File Protection or Anti-Cryptor tasks.
  You can manage the list of untrusted hosts and configure the hosts blocking term.
• Anti-malware cryptors protection functionality. 
  The application traces the malicious encrypting attempts targeted on data that are stored in the shared network folders, and lists hosts as untrusted, if they were detected as a source of malicious activity. 
  You can configure the settings of untrusted hosts blocking, and you can also configure the task protection scope by excluding folders where data are normally encrypted.
• Product activation by the activation code. You can activate application using both a key file, or an activation code.

What's new compared to build 8.0.2.213

• Improved integration with different network storages types, attached via RPC and ICAP protocols.
• Improved distribution kit: 
  • Anti-virus databases moved to bases.cab file and are no longer included into MSI package
  • MSI packages for x64 and x86 operation systems are included into a single folder (/server)
  • Server folder contains setup file for Plug-in that provides Kaspersky Security administration via Kaspersky Security Center, and also ks4ws.kud file to view the installation kit description for a remote application setup via Kaspersky Security Center.
  These changes allow to free around 100 MB of disk space, permit to create a single Kaspersky Security Center distribution package for OS of both architectural types, and also allow to automatically install Kaspersky Security Plug-in at the moment of a distribution package formation.
• The feature which allows configuration of user permissions to manage the application's selected features via Kaspersky Security Center has been added.

• Improved Kaspersky Security Console interface that determines a higher level of the application local management for a protected server security enforcing.

Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server supports migration from Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 with the following configurations and objects preservation: functional components settings, task and audit logs settings, 

quarantined and backed up objects.

The following settings are also stored and imported with no affect:

• User account that operates tasks launch
• Application work notifications 

Kaspersky Security 10 Plug-in is to be installed separately, and can not replace Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 Plug-in.  Consequently, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 policies and group tasks  

would not be automatically inherited and applied for the Kaspersky Security protected servers.

To use policies and group tasks of the previous version, it is necessary to import policies and group tasks as a settings model for a new  

policy or group task created in the Wizard first step. 

• The new features: Anti-Cryptor, Applications Launch Control, and Untrusted Hosts Blocking are available only if Kaspersky Security 10 for Windows Server was activated with the activation code or key file bought after February 1, 2016. If yu have activated the product with the code or the key bought earlier, please download and install the critical fix for product modules.
• The installation of Kaspersky Security Console over Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition Console is not supported. Console of the previous version has to be removed before a new version Console can be installed.
• Activating archive scan mode in the security level settings now automatically includes files located in the SFX archives to the scan scope. Archives cannot be scanned separately from SFX archives. SFX archives can be scanned separately from archives.
• If the full path to the Kaspersky Security installation folder contains more than 150 characters, the warning about path length exceeding appears. Yet it does not affect the installation process - the application will be installed successfully.
• SNMP Protocol Support component installation requires restarting of the SNMP service if this service is running.
• The key can not be added during installation via the Application Setup Wizard if the key file is located on a drive created using the SUBST command, or if a network path to the key file is specified.
• While configuring the protection and scan scopes via Kaspersky Security Console, it is possible to use only one mask in a path, and only at the end of the path. Correct path examples: "C:\Temp\Temp*" or "C:\Temp\Temp???.doc" or "C:\Temp\Temp*.doc". This limitation does not affect Trusted Zone settings.
• When the command line utility is used, special characters are displayed only when regional settings of the operating system match the current Kaspersky Security localization.
• Authentication errors may occur on the proxy server, in case user name and user password have been provided in the multi-byte encoding for basic authentication.
• When a file is restored from Quarantine or Backup, the Encrypted value in the file attributes is not restored.
• Kaspersky Security Icon is hidden by default after critical Kaspersky Security modules updates are installed.
• The filter is case-sensitive if applies in Kaspersky Security Console for the following components: Quarantine, Backup, System Audit Log, Task Logs.
• Kaspersky Security Console installation via Microsoft Active Directory group policies is not supported.
• If the User Account Control is enabled in the operating system, Kaspersky Security Console can be opened by double-clicking the application Icon in the taskbar notification area only if the user account belongs to the KAVWSEE Administrators group. Otherwise, the About window opens.
• For all Application Launch Control task event reports sent to Kaspersky Security Center, strings with regional encoding are replaced with escape sequences.
