How to switch the Applications Launch Control component to Default Allow mode in Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security

You are able to use the Applications Launch Control component in Default Allow mode. This means that, by default, all applications are allowed to launch if they are not forbidden by rules or a KSN verdict.

To switch to Default Allow mode:

  1. Open the Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security policy.
  2. Go to the Local activity control section and open the Settings for the Applications Launch Control component.

  1. Click Rules list.

  1. Add an allowing rule for executable files:
    • Type: Allowing.
    • Scope: Executable files.
    • User or user group: Everyone.
    • Rule triggering criterion: Path to file with the mask ?:\

  1. Add an allowing rule for MSI packages.
    • Type: Allowing.
    • Scope: Scripts and MSI packages.
    • User or user group: Everyone.
    • Rule triggering criterion: Path to file with the mask ?:\

  1. Change the Applications Launch Control component’s task mode to Operating. Close the locks for the rules and task mode.

  1. Close the lock for the Applications Launch Control component.
