How to deploy Kaspersky Security Center 10 in the network of a service provider

This article concerns Kaspersky Security Center 10 Service Pack 3 (version 10.5.1781.0).

When deploying Kaspersky Security Center 10, the service provider creates an individual virtual Administration Server for each client organization. The service provider's administrator monitors the settings of the entire system and manages protection of specific client organizations using a fully-functional MMC, while the administrators of client organizations can monitor the protection of their devices via the simplified Kaspersky Security Center 10 Web Console interface.

To deploy Kaspersky Security Center 10:

  1. Install Kaspersky Security Center 10. For instructions, see this Online Help page.
  2. Install Kaspersky Security Center 10 Web Console. You can install it on the same or a different device. For instructions, see this Online Help page.
  3. Install Administration Console on the administrator's workstation (if necessary).
  4. Create a virtual Administration Server in Kaspersky Security Center 10 to manage the devices in the client organization. For instructions, see this Online Help page.
  5. Configure the update agent:
    1. Send the Network Agent installation package to the client organization.
    2. Assign a device in the client’s network to act as an update agent. To find out how to assign an update agent, see this article.
    3. Install Network Agent on that device.

    Kaspersky Security Center 10 will automatically assign it as an update agent and configure it as a connection gateway when it is connected to the Administration Server for the first time.

  6. On the virtual Administration Server, create and configure installation packages for Network Agent and required Kaspersky Lab applications. For more details about the options of protection system deployment in a client organization's network, see this Online Help page.
  7. Create and run remote installation tasks for selected applications in Administration Console. 
  8. If necessary, perform an additional configuration of installed applications in the Administration Console using policies and local application settings.
  9. Provide the client organization’s administrator with the Kaspersky Security Center 10 Web Console address and the virtual Administration Server account credentials. For more information about Kaspersky Security Center 10 Web Console, see the Online Help page.
