Applies to Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server

You should have a user account with the following permissions for installing Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server:

  • Local administrator on the server hosting Microsoft SharePoint;
  • Membership in the Farm Administrators group on the server hosting Microsoft SharePoint;
  • Permission to create databases on remote SQL servers;
  • Permission to read databases on remote SQL servers (WSS config).

Also you need an Internet connection for installing the following components:

  • Net Framework 3.5 SP1;

    Information It is necessary to reboot the computer after installing .Net Framework 3.5 SP1! If you continue the installation without rebooting the computer, Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server may malfunction.

  • Microsoft Management Console 3.0.

You need the following permissions to be able to create a database on a SQL server:

  • local administrator permissions on the computer that would be hosting Kaspersky Security 8.0 for SharePoint Server;
  • SQL server administrator permissions.

  • If the SQL server is installed on a domain controller, you need to be member of Company administrators and/or Domain administrators group.
The Console connects to the server over TCP on port 5014. This port should be open to be able to control the server.
