How to remove incompatible software when installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows
This article concerns the following versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows:
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 4 (version 10.3.3.304)
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 3 (version 10.3.3.275)
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 2 (10.3.0.6294)
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 1 (version 10.3.0.6294)
- Service Pack 2 (version 10.3.0.6294)
- Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 4 (version 10.2.6.3733)
- Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 3 (version 10.2.5.3201)
When installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows, you may get the following message:
To continue the installation, remove the incompatible applications in one of the following ways:
- Click Remove manually in the Incompatible software window.
- Remove a third-party antivirus solution using default tools of Microsoft Windows. For instructions, see this article.
- Use a removal tool for incompatible applications. Download the tools from this page.
- Download a removal tool of an antivirus solution from the vendor's website.
- Use third-party removal tools.

What to do in case problems with AES module removal
If you encountered problems removing the AES module when upgrading Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows to version 11.5.0:
- To upgrade from versions earlier than Service Pack 2 (version 10.3.0.6294) where the encryption module is not included in the installer: remove the encryption module manually, then uninstall your version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows. Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.5.0 for Windows.
- Note that you have to decrypt all hard disks that have been encrypted using full disk encryption (FDE), before removing Encryption Module. No access to folder level encryption (FLE) files will be provided after you remove Encryption Module.
- To upgrade from Service Pack 2 (version 10.3.0.6294) with the encryption module included into the installer: remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows. The encryption module will be removed automatically. Then, install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.5.0 for Windows.
You can also upgrade Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows to version 11.5.0 locally from the full installer from the following versions of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10:
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 4 (version 10.3.3.304)
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 3 (version 10.3.3.275)
- Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 2 (10.3.0.6294)
