How files are scanned in cloud storages connected to Windows 10

Starting from Windows 10 RS3, you can configure online access to files stored in cloud services (such as OneDrive). To do so, enable the Files On-Demand feature in the One Drive application. The files will then be displayed in File Explorer. While you are connected to the Internet, you will be able to use these files like any other file on your computer.
If Kaspersky Internet Security detects these files during a scan, you will receive a notification that files in the cloud storage weren’t scanned. Next time you open these files, they will be scanned by File Anti-Virus.
