Do not use this tool without a request from a Technical Support engineer.
We recommend using this tool if Kaspersky Security Center Web Console was not fully removed and file traces are left in the system. This may cause errors when installing the application. For example:
- If you removed Kaspersky Security Center Web Console using standard Windows tools and an error occurred.
- If you removed Kaspersky Security Center Web Console using non-standard tools.
We do not recommend that you use this tool if Kaspersky Security Center Web Console can be removed correctly with standard Windows tools.
How to use the tool
To completely remove Kaspersky Security Center Web Console:
- Download the cleaner.zip archive and extract the files from it.
- Open the command line with administrator’s rights.
- Run the command:
<path to cleaner.exe>\cleaner.exe /pc {72DDBFF8-49AF-4163-8B11-E41FC6B0A95F}
- Enter the password to confirm the deletion if you set it during the installation of Network Agent or in the policy settings. If you set the password both in the policy settings and during the installation, enter the password that is set in the policy.
Troubleshooting
The trace files of the tool are created in the system folder %windir%\Temp and have a name in the formats ak_cleaner-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS.log and $klcleaner-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS.log.
