1. In the main window of Kaspersky Security Cloud, click More Tools.

• If you have any difficulties opening the application, see this guide.

2. Go to the Data Protection section and click Data Encryption.

3. Click Create new data vault.

4. Drag files or folders you want to add to the vault into the designated area or click Add files and folders to data vault and select them.

5. Click Continue.

6. Enter the name for the vault and select its location and size. Please note that the vault must be larger than 14 MB, as it requires 11 MB for service data.
7. For quick access, select the checkbox Create desktop shortcut for data vault.
8. Click Continue.

9. Create a password and click Continue. Please note that a password cannot be recovered.

10. Select an action with the original files outside the vault:
    • To delete the files outside the vault, click Delete.
    • To save the files outside the vault, click Skip.

11. Click Done.

The created vault will be displayed in the list of vaults. You can:

• Open the vault by clicking Open in Windows Explorer.
• Lock the vault by clicking Lock.

3. Click the arrow next to the Unlock button and select an action from the drop-down list:
   • Rename. Enter the new name for the vault and click Save. The vault will be renamed.
   • Change password. Enter the old password and set the new password. Click Save. The password will be changed.
   • Show location of data vault. The target folder will open in Windows Explorer.
   • Create desktop shortcut for data vault. A shortcut will be created created.
   • Delete. Enter the password for the vault and click Delete data vault. The vault will be deleted.
