“Invalid key” error

Issue

When activating a Kaspersky application, the error “Invalid key” may occur.

Solution

Wait for an hour and try to activate the application again. The activation server may be unavailable due to maintenance.

If this doesn't help, remove the license from the application and activate it again:

  1. Open your Kaspersky application using these instructions and click License in the lower-right corner of the window.
  2. Click License information.

  1. Activate the application again with your activation code using the following instructions:
    • Kaspersky Internet Security 21, 20
    • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 21, 20
    • Kaspersky Total Security 21, 20
    • Kaspersky Small Office Security 8, 7
