How to reduce the volume of downloaded updates upon the initial startup of Kaspersky Update Utility 4.0 for Linux/FreeBSD

If any Kaspersky applications are installed on your computer, follow the steps below to reduce the volume of downloaded updates.
- In the Kaspersky Update Utility folder, create a new folder. For example, Temp.
- Open the folder that is set as temporary in the settings of Kaspersky Update Utility for Linux/FreeBSD.
- Copy the entire temporaryFolder folder from the temporary folder to the Temp folder that you created earlier.
- In the utility settings, set the Temp folder as temporary.
If Kaspersky Security Center is installed and set on your computer, do the following:
- In the Kaspersky Update Utility for Linux/FreeBSD folder, create a new folder. For example, Temp.
- In the Temp folder, create a new folder and call it temporaryFolder.
- From the computer with the Administration Server installed, copy the following folders to the temporaryFolder:
- %PROGRAMFILES%\Kaspersky Lab\Security Center\Share\Updates\AutoPatches
- %PROGRAMFILES%\Kaspersky Lab\Security Center\Share\Updates\bases
- %PROGRAMFILES%\Kaspersky Lab\Security Center\Share\Updates\index
The volume of downloaded updates upon the initial startup of Kaspersky Update Utility 4.0 for Linux/FreeBSD will be reduced.
