Creating a Kaspersky Endpoint Agent policy

To create a Kaspersky Endpoint Agent policy in Kaspersky Security Center:

1. Open the Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
2. In the console tree, select the Policies folder.
3. Click New policy.

   The policy creation wizard starts.

4. Enter a name that will be used for the new policy in the policy list and click Next.
5. Select one of the following options for configuring the settings of the policy and click Next:
   • Create a new policy and configure settings

     A list is displayed of application settings groups that you can configure at the policy creation stage.

     Configuring application settings during policy creation involves:

     1. Configuring Kaspersky Endpoint Agent security settings
     2. Configuring proxy server connection settings
     3. Configuring the integration of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent with Kaspersky Sandbox
     4. Configuring the advanced settings of the response timeout of Kaspersky Sandbox and request queue settings
     5. Configuring Threat Response actions of Kaspersky Endpoint Agent to respond to threats detected by Kaspersky Sandbox
     6. Configuring Quarantine settings and restoration of objects from Quarantine
     7. Configuring data synchronization with the Administration Server

     You can also configure all application settings later, after policy creation is complete.

   • Create a new policy with default settings

     The Kaspersky Security Center administration group configuration window opens.

6. If you selected the Create a new policy and configure settings option, do one of the following:
   • If you want to configure application settings from some settings group right now, click Configure to the right of the name of the settings group.

     The selected application settings group opens. You can configure application settings.

   • If you want to configure application settings from the displayed groups later, click Next.

   The Kaspersky Security Center administration group configuration window opens.

7. Do the following:
   1. Click Browse....

      The administration group selection window opens.

   2. Select the administration group in the list. For example, you can select the Managed devices group.
   3. If you want to create a subgroup in the Managed devices group:
      1. Click New group.
      2. In the window that opens, enter a name for the device subgroup.
      3. Click OK.
   4. Click Next.
8. Select a policy state:
   • Active policy if you want to activate the immediately policy after creation.
   • Inactive policy if you want to activate the policy later.
9. If you want to begin configuring the policy immediately after creating it, select the Open policy properties after creation check box.
10. Click Done.

The policy that you created appears in the list.
